Biography

Heather Smith is a proud graduate of the University of Utah. The 2017-2018 school year will be her eleventh year teaching, and she’s thrilled to be starting that year with Good Foundations! Heather holds high, achievable expectations for her students in a fun and safe learning environment. Though she’s always taught elements aligned with Core Knowledge and has continually emphasized personal morals, Heather looks forward to officially bringing Core Knowledge and character education into her classroom. 

Heather adores her crazy, military family. She loves taking Harley rides with her husband, playing games with her two teenage boys, and vacationing in National Parks. She enjoys a plethora of activities: hiking, fishing, crayon art, photography, roller skating, singing, cooking, campfires, writing, Star Wars, and lots and lots of coffee. But most of all, Heather loves teaching! She brings liveliness, care, and support into a classroom where each student is given and gives the respect to learn and grow.
