Executive Director
For more than 35 years, Mrs. Erwin has devoted her career to the field of education, serving both as a classroom teacher and a principal. Her career began in the classroom, with a deep belief in the potential of every student. Over time, her commitment to education led her into school leadership, where she continues to support students, teachers, and families.
Her love for education is rooted in the joy of watching young learners discover new ideas, gain confidence, and develop a lifelong curiosity. She believes that school should be a place where children feel safe, inspired, and challenged to do their best. Encouraging students to love learning is not just part of her job—it is the driving force behind everything she does. Whether guiding instruction or supporting staff, she remains focused on creating meaningful learning experiences for all children.
Being part of a strong school community is something she values deeply. She appreciates the partnership between educators, families, and students and understands how essential that connection is to student success. She often expresses how fortunate she feels to serve in a community that shares a commitment to respect, growth, and excellence. Working alongside dedicated staff and supportive families gives her great pride and reinforces her belief in the power of education.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum Design and Instruction, which have shaped her approach to leadership and instruction. Outside of school, she spends as much time as she can with her family, finding joy in the moments they share together. Some of her favorite pastimes include hiking, skiing, kayaking, swimming, and traveling. These experiences help her stay balanced, energized, and ready to bring her best to the school community she is honored to serve.
