Shari graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina with a BS degree in Business Administration. She has four boys and three grandchildren. Desiring to be involved in the education of her children, she home schooled for four years. She continued her career in education pursuing licensure. She taught preschool in South Carolina before moving to Utah. She has taught for more than 20 years in Utah and is an inaugural teacher at Good Foundations Academy. She holds a Level 2 Professional Educators License from the state of Utah and has actively served on the Academic Leadership Team at GFA, on a charter school accreditation team for the state, the UPIPS (Utah’s Performance Improvement Program System) Steering Committee for Special Education programs in Utah public education, as a mentor teacher, and currently as a team lead teacher for GFA. She is passionate about teaching Core Knowledge and Character Education at Good Foundations Academy. She loves building relationships with her students and their families.
Apart from teaching, she enjoys exercising, reading, shopping,traveling, going to plays and concerts, football, eating out and spending time with her family and friends. As a family, they love swimming, hiking, camping, backpacking, biking, rock climbing and repelling, soccer, sledding, skiing, watching movies, and most recently paddle boarding.
